A little About The Why
The Lions Breakfast Club came from the idea that busy people can join forces and do something awesome.

The Story...
In 2021, Sheila DeChantal and Amy Price attended a Lions Club Event in Nisswa. It was a lot of fun, they met new people and (as is their nature) both signed up to be a part of the Nisswa Lions Club.
In the 3 years that followed - they made it to one meeting.
One.
While they could not make the evening meetings fit into their schedules, they helped out when and where they could. Denise Laudenbach approached them with the idea that maybe there were others out there that felt the same way... busy work life and schedules and people that love their community but are a little hesitant about adding something into their already full life.
The Breakfast Club was created to be a morning one hour meeting once a month. Not a big time commitment, and those deciding to be a part understood that if the meetings were not a fit - not a problem. We would provide communications through a monthly email as well as updates on our website. Basically... join in when you can.
Turns out - we were on to something. In a few short weeks over 20 people had said yes, making the Lions Breakfast Club at official 501C4 Non Profit Organization. By the time of the May 2024 Charter Launch, over 30 had said yes with a group of others that were to follow in the next few weeks.
Our Mission is to reach people where they are at. Big and Small projects to select from. Opportunities to connect at social events that are just for fun. Creating our own events to raise dollars to give back into our community. And definitely ways to offer a helping hand with local projects that benefit our community.
It's an exciting time.
